Harvest Missions Bursary

Harvest Missions Bursary provides a tuition-free education at Christ Baptist Seminary, Polokwane, South Africa. Our aim is to see these students fully engaged in the preparation for the ministry of teaching, preaching and discipleship in the Townships and Rural communities of South Africa with minimal financial constraints.

Bursary Amount

Full-Tuition of R5,000 per annum for the duration of the bachelor’s degree/ diploma in Theology (Not more than 3 years).
• Travel allowance of R1,200 per annum for the duration of the bachelor’s degree/ diploma in Theology (Not more than 3 years).
• Harvest will deposit funds to Christ Baptist Seminary account for each successful candidate. Note: Maximum of two new students who will be sponsored for the duration of their studies.

Conditions For Acceptance

Meet all the character and educational requirements to pursue a bachelor’s degree/ diploma in Theology at Christ
Baptist Seminary.
• A new student coming from a Township or Rural community of South Africa with intention to minister in a Township
or Rural community upon completion of studies.
• Obtained an average C symbol in High School matric results.
• Read, affirm, and submit to the Christ Baptist Church statements on “What the Bible Teaches about Becoming a
Christian,” “What Christ Baptist Church Believes that the Bible Teaches,” and “Christ Baptist Church’s Statement of
Faith.” These statements are provided at the end of this document.

Conditions For Ongoing Bursary

• Maintain a C symbol average. Bursary will be revoked if a student fails to meet this requirement for 2 consecutive
semesters.
• Active involvement in a sound local church in a Township or Rural community throughout studies.
• Demonstrate a proven character consistent with 1 Timothy 3:1-7.
• Meet personally with Professor Andrew Isiaho* monthly for a time of mentorship, accountability and discipleship.
• Bi-annual feedback from the pastor of the local church the student is involved with concerning his character and
ministry involvement.
• Draft future ministry strategy and plan in a Township or Rural community by end of second year for discussion and
review with Harvest Board of Directors.
• An annual affirmation of the Christ Baptist Church statements on “What the Bible Teaches about Becoming a
Christian,” “What Christ Baptist Church Believes that the Bible Teaches,” and “Christ Baptist Church’s Statement of
Faith.” These statements are provided at the end of this document.

Complete the Harvest Missions Bursary Application form below. All applications must be received by Christ Baptist Seminary by 31 July every year for the following academic year. Biblical Counseling professor at Christ Baptist Seminary who also serves as a Trustee with Harvest Missions.
