WELCOME TO HARVEST MISSION

WHO WE ARE

Harvest Christian Missions is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering the growth of healthy, God-centered, Christ-exalting, Holy Spirit-saturated, and faithfully Bible-teaching churches across the needier areas of South Africa and the African continent. Our primary goal is to assist in the advancement of these churches, ensuring they are deeply rooted in biblical truth and equipped to thrive in their communities. We recognize that the spiritual and practical challenges faced by churches in these regions require strong partnerships and strategic support.

We are committed to walking alongside ministers who have been called by God to serve in these needier contexts. Our support is designed to empower them in their ministries, providing resources and assistance that strengthen their churches without fostering unhealthy dependency. By working collaboratively with these faithful leaders, we seek to uphold the integrity of the gospel message while addressing the specific challenges they encounter in their mission fields.

At Harvest Christian Missions, we firmly believe that the growth of the African church must be grounded in sound biblical doctrine, faithful leadership, and Christ-centered discipleship. The rapid expansion of churches across the continent presents an incredible opportunity, but it also necessitates careful stewardship. Our role is to ensure that these churches receive the support they need to flourish spiritually and practically, becoming strong pillars of faith in their communities.

OUR MISSION

We recognize the pressing need for biblically sound churches in communities where evangelical presence is scarce, resources are limited, and leadership is often insufficient. Our mission is to support these churches by providing:

  • Prayer: Upholding the work of the ministry before the Lord, seeking His provision, protection, and guidance.
  • Encouragement: Strengthening and uplifting ministers who often serve in isolation, ensuring they remain steadfast in their calling.
  • Leadership Training: Equipping pastors and church leaders through theological education, mentorship, and training programs.
  • Biblical Literature: Facilitating access to sound biblical resources, including books and digital theological materials.
  • Financial Support: Assisting local churches in sustaining their pastors and ministries, ensuring they can fully devote themselves to shepherding their congregations.

Why Focus on These Areas?

The needier areas we serve include townships, rural areas, small towns, and inner-city contexts. These locations are characterized by:

  • A low ratio of evangelical churches relative to the population.

  • Limited access to theological resources, trained ministry staff, and adequate church facilities.

  • Financial struggles of ministers who often serve without adequate support.

  • A lack of male leadership in churches, hindering biblical discipleship and church growth.

  • The influence of prosperity gospel teachings, which distort biblical truth and mislead congregations.

OUR VISION

Our vision is to see these churches thrive—not by worldly measures of success, but by biblical standards. A healthy church upholds Scripture as the final authority, centers its worship and ministry on Christ, and remains committed to sound doctrine.

A God-centered church glorifies Him above all, placing His will and purpose at the core of its mission.

A Christ-exalting church proclaims the gospel faithfully, ensuring that Jesus remains at the center of every message, ministry, and outreach.

A Holy Spirit-saturated church is led by the Spirit through the faithful preaching of the Word, a commitment to prayer, and genuine love among believers.

Partnership: The Key to Advancement

We believe that strengthening the African church requires collaboration with faithful Bible-teaching churches and individuals globally. Just as the early church supported one another, we seek to work together to advance the gospel. We call on fellow believers to stand with us through prayer, encouragement, and generous giving to ensure that pastors and congregations in these areas receive the support they need.

“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore, beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.” – Matthew 9:37-38

By God’s grace, we aim to strengthen His church in these underserved areas, ensuring that the gospel continues to spread and take root for generations to come.
