Unless the Lord Builds

Harvest Christian Missions was born out of a heartfelt desire to strengthen and support the local church—not to replace or undermine it. Our vision for making a difference in the lives of impoverished communities in Africa is to come alongside the faithful men of God who are already preaching the gospel, discipling, and helping believers grow in their faith. By providing them with financial and other forms of support, we aim to uplift these dedicated pastors who are on the frontlines of ministry.
Over the past several years—almost a decade now—we’ve been blessed to help support these incredible pastors with monthly stipends. Through our network, we are working alongside brothers in Christ who are faithfully preaching in townships and rural communities across South Africa, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Kenya, and Sudan. And, of course, our hope is to keep expanding this network, welcoming more faithful men into our “band of brothers.” The vision for Africa is simple: a Bible-believing, gospel-centered church in every city, every township, and every community. This is the institution God has promised to bless. We want to see these local church pastors equipped with the resources they need to do the work the Lord has called them to do.
I am especially excited about the partnership we’ve developed with Christ Baptist Seminary. Many of the men we support are graduates of this school, which means we are able to work with pastors who are not only faithful but are also well-trained and equipped for the work ahead. This partnership has helped ensure that the men we support have a strong biblical foundation, and I’m so grateful for that.

Looking ahead, I have two big hopes for the future:

First, I pray that the men we support continue to lead holy, faithful, and exemplary lives. As Robert McCheyne wisely said, a godly, God-fearing minister is a powerful weapon in God’s hands. This echoes Paul’s words to Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:21: if a man cleanses himself from worldly distractions, he will be used for honorable purposes. Africa doesn’t need more charlatans—it needs men who are so deeply rooted in the gospel that they transform lives in their communities. These are the kinds of men we are committed to supporting.

Second, my hope is that we will see even more faithful ministers raised up across the continent. And with that, I pray that we can continue to come alongside them in new and impactful ways, all to the glory of His amazing grace!

With great anticipation,
